| Purpose | |
| The purpose of the MSA will be to serve the best interests of the Muslim students of San Diego State University, within the framework of Islam in deriving guidance and values from the Quran and Sunnah. The MSA will:
• Develop, inspire, teach their members to achieve the best they can, become God-conscious individuals, and take an active role in working for Islam in the SDSU campus community
• Strengthen bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood between SDSU students
• Raise awareness of Islam and Muslims on a SDSU campus level
• Create service that can be utilized by Muslims and non-Muslims alike for SDSU campus students
• Create and develop community connection
