| The purposes of the Healthcare Social Work Society at San Diego State University are to bring together students across disciplines who share an interest in healthcare; to deepen understanding of the unique biopsychosocial-spiritual needs of individuals, families, and communities facing acute illness, chronic disease, and end-of-life care; and to explore critical thinking, health equity, ethical challenges, and interdisciplinary collaboration across medical and community health settings.
